AI Game On!

What is AI Game On?

AI Game On! is a high-octane game jam themed “Giving Our History a New Heartbeat through the Intelligence of Tomorrow,” challenging creators to fuse cultural preservation with the frontier of synthetic intelligence.

By leveraging generative AI and LLMs, teams will transform static archives into a living “Digital Museum,” where local heritage is revitalized through interactive, AI-driven storytelling. The technical heart of the event lies in the integration of a “Hidden Heritage Artifact”—a secret in-game relic that utilizes AI procedural placement to ensure a unique discovery experience for every player.

Once found, these artifacts trigger a custom API that unlocks real-world historical facts on a city-wide digital portal, bridging the gap between virtual exploration and cultural literacy to ensure our past resonates within the technology of the future.

1. Participants should be a minimum of 1 member and
maximum of 3

2. Open to an individual or a team composed of up to 3
people (students or non-students or mix) adept at game
development

3. All participants must be 18 years old and above

4. An individual may only be part of one team

6. see sample

7. Regional Artifacts: Every game features a unique item
from your local history (e.g., traditional crafts, folklore
relics, or regional food).

8. AI Procedural Placement: Using AI logic, the artifact is hidden in a new location for every player. It’s never in the same spot twice.

9. Discovery Cues: The player finds the item by following AI-generated “Cultural Echoes”—ambient sounds like local music, nature, or dialects that get louder as you get close.

10. API Unlock/ADK: Once found, the game calls the City-Wide Portal API. This instantly saves the item and its real-world history to the player’s global profile. (The developers should integrate a screen when artifacts are found in their game)

11. Digital Museum: The portal turns these finds into a personal digital gallery, connecting the game world to the region’s actual heritage.
