Driven by a desperate need to uncover a career-defining story, filmmaker Chester travels with his colleague Rica to the historic Campo Santo of San Joaquin in Iloilo. Their target is ancestral gold rumored to have been buried beneath the Spanish-era mortuary chapel during the 1892 cholera epidemic. Treating the sacred ground as a site to be excavated and exploited, Chester ignores local warnings in pursuit of the treasure. At the cemetery, they meet Cande, an enigmatic young girl, and Manong Leo, an elderly caretaker whose presence seems frozen in time. As Chester's search turns into an obsession, his camera lens begins capturing unsettling anomalies, exposing that Cande and Manong Leo are not living in the ordinary sense. Forced to confront the spectral guardians of the cholera outbreak, Chester must abandon his drive for fame and wealth, laying down his camera to help protect the ancient coral graves from being destroyed.
